Melbourne CBD Property Information
Melbourne's city center was traditionally a place for business or leisure, however over the past three decades, the focus has shifted to build a strong and integrated residential population. Living in the city center is very appealing to a wide range of people. It means less commuting, easy access to major educational institutions, entertainment and sporting complexes, parks and gardens, libraries and museums and it also offers great public transport, shopping, dining and entertainment. Housing within the CBD is almost entirely made up of apartments within high rise towers which affords local residents fantastic views and often hotel-style amenities within their building such as swimming pools, gyms and recreational spaces.
West Melbourne is a large suburb for its location, just 3km north-west of the CBD. Once an industrial suburb, West Melbourne has been converted in a trendy and exciting place to live. The housing dynamic is quite unique. While there is some terrace housing there are new developments popping up including converted warehouse apartments and new apartment blocks. Some major attractions in the area are Melbourne’s famous Queen Victoria Markets and Festival Hall.
